GROWING UP IN WEST AFRICA

Sixty-five percent (65%) of the population in West and Central Africa is under 24 today. Two hundred million young people, representing both a challenge and a wealth for this changing region.

Between October 2017 and June 2018, photographer Vincent Tremeau went on the roads of youth in West and Central Africa to meet adolescents and young people aged 13 to 24 years. From Senegal to Mali, from Guinea to Chad, Benin, Togo, Côte d'Ivoire, and Niger, they gave him an intimate account of their daily lives, punctuated by the challenges they each face. confronted, always looking towards the future.

The one year project was compiled in a book produced by the French Funds Muskoka.

EXHIBITIONS

A series of exhibitions is currently organized in West Africa. The project was exhibited at the French Institute in N'djamena (Chad) in May 2019.
